Mamdani Just Told You Exactly What He Is — A Man Who Believes ‘International Law’ Trumps the Constitution
Stop treating this as a Netanyahu story. Stop treating it as a quirky mayoral overreach story. What Zohran Mamdani said on camera this week is a direct statement of his governing philosophy — and every American needs to understand what it means.
Asked whether he believes laws from international bodies override U.S. law, Mamdani essentially said yes. He wants America to join the International Criminal Court. He wants America to execute ICC warrants — including, explicitly, the warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu. He declared America’s military operations against Iran a violation of “international law.” He invoked “international law” to blame New York Jews for antisemitic protests outside a synagogue that hosted a group helping people immigrate to Israel.
The pattern is not subtle. Mamdani deploys “international law” as a weapon — selectively, consistently, and always in the same direction. Against Israel. Against America. Against the removal of socialist dictators. In favor of the ICC, an institution the United States has never joined, whose chief prosecutor is under investigation for sexual misconduct, and whose warrants carry precisely zero legal weight on American soil.
What he never invokes international law against: Hamas, which massacred 1,200 people and took hundreds hostage. Hezbollah, which has killed Americans and Israelis for four decades. Venezuela’s Maduro, whose removal he declared illegal — meaning Mamdani sided with the socialist dictator over the Venezuelan people trying to be free of him.
All part of the same commie pattern of destroying our country as founded and rebuilding an authoritarian nightmare on the rubble.
When pressed about Maduro’s ICC warrant — because Maduro himself is the subject of an ICC arrest warrant for crimes against humanity — Mamdani’s answer was revealing. He described Maduro as a dictator but said what matters is the “process” by which governments change. Translation: the ICC warrant Mamdani cites to justify arresting Netanyahu is an ICC warrant he declines to cite when it applies to a socialist ally:
I would say that the International Criminal Court is a body that seeks to hold those across the world accountable for crimes against humanity, for war crimes, for things of that nature. And I think the United States should not only be a party to that court but should also execute the warrants that that court issues. And what I have spoken up about Nicolas Maduro, who I’ve also described appropriately as a dictator, is that the violation of international law is one that has to also be taken very seriously. It stems from the same belief in the International Criminal Court. And now he’s here in New York City, on that day when the United States did violate international law, I made clear that I was in opposition to that. And it all stems from the same belief in how can there be a sanctity in something beyond an understand of the world where might is right?
What BS.
This is not principled international law advocacy. It is political theater that uses the language of international norms to advance an anti-American, anti-Israel, pro-socialist agenda — dressed up in enough legal vocabulary to confuse people who don’t look too closely.
Dave Rubin said it plainly: every Democrat will be taking this position by 2028. He’s probably right. What starts as Mamdani’s fringe mayoralty in New York City has a way of becoming mainstream Democratic orthodoxy within an election cycle.
The oath of office Mamdani took requires him to uphold the Constitution of the United States. Not the Rome Statute. Not the UN Charter. Not whatever Karim Khan’s investigation-plagued prosecutorial office decides to prioritize this week. The Constitution of the United States — the document that explicitly places federal law supreme over all other authority operating within this country’s borders.
Mamdani thinks something else is supreme. He said so on camera. Mamdani thinks something else is supreme. He said so on camera.
New York City elected this man anyway. The rest of America is watching — and taking very careful notes.
"ELECTION STUNNER — YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHICH BLUE STATE JUST FLIPPED RED"
Oregon’s governor contest has drawn renewed national attention after Fox News moved its race rating toward Republicans ahead of November’s election.
The network changed its assessment from Likely Democrat to Lean Democrat, citing an increasingly competitive rematch between familiar opponents.
Republican state Senator Christine Drazan is challenging Democratic Governor Tina Kotek four years after their closely contested 2022 election.
Oregon has not elected a Republican governor in more than four decades, making the contest historically significant.
Drazan previously served as Republican leader in the state House before returning to the legislature following her defeat.
She won a House election in 2024 and subsequently received an appointment to the state Senate.
The challenger is emphasizing homelessness, housing affordability, taxation, education, addiction, and the state’s economic performance.
Kotek is defending her administration while criticizing Drazan’s relationship with President Donald Trump and national Republican policies.
Recent polling demonstrates why the contest has attracted attention beyond Oregon’s borders.
Oregon Public Broadcasting commissioned a DHM Research survey of 915 likely voters conducted September 17 through September 27.
Initially, 46 percent supported Drazan and 44 percent backed Kotek, while three percent selected another candidate.
Eight percent were undecided, according to the poll’s published findings.
After undecided respondents identified their leanings, the figures became 47 percent for Drazan and 46 percent for Kotek.
The survey’s margin of error was 3.24 percentage points, making those differences statistically inconclusive.
An October survey conducted for The Oregonian instead placed Kotek ahead, 46 percent to 44 percent.
Another October poll sponsored by Democrats reported Kotek leading 46 percent to 42 percent.
The state’s political history provides important context for interpreting the current numbers.
Kamala Harris carried Oregon by approximately 14 points during the 2024 presidential election.
Democratic Senator Ron Wyden also won reelection by approximately 15 points in 2022.
Yet gubernatorial contests have sometimes produced considerably smaller margins than statewide federal elections.
That election also featured independent candidate Betsy Johnson, whose substantial vote share complicated the contest’s dynamics.
Drazan’s campaign argues that state concerns deserve greater attention than national partisan disputes.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, she described her candidacy as an effort to change Oregon’s political direction.
She argued that prolonged Democratic control has failed to resolve problems involving schools, housing, and public safety.
Kotek’s campaign maintains that the governor has worked to address housing shortages and protect residents from federal policies.
Her communications director, Federico Araujo, emphasized the number of voters still making their decisions.
Drazan has sought distance from national controversies while concentrating attention on Oregon-specific challenges.
Her campaign has identified economic conditions and the visible consequences of addiction as major issues for voters.
Education outcomes, municipal public safety, and the cost of living have likewise shaped this election’s discussion.
Kotek points to administrative initiatives and argues that governing requires continued investment and policy implementation.
Campaign financing introduces another important difference between the contenders.
Drazan acknowledged that Kotek held a significant fundraising advantage when Fox News interviewed her.
She also confirmed that the Republican Governors Association had begun investing in the race.
That support could fund additional campaign communications, although the precise impact depends on spending decisions and voter responses.
Oregon’s campaign finance rules permit large contributions, making major donors potentially important to both campaigns.
Neither organization’s statements should be mistaken for independent measurements of voter intentions.
Democrats are seeking to connect Republican candidates to those national issues, including in Oregon.
Drazan instead argues that voters should evaluate conditions under state leadership and consider alternative policies.
The contest illustrates how state-specific concerns can produce competitive races even where one party usually dominates presidential elections.
For Republicans, the changed Fox rating and September polling provide concrete evidence of a competitive campaign.
For Democrats, subsequent surveys and Oregon’s recent electoral history offer reasons to continue emphasizing their own support.
Election administration, turnout, late campaign developments, and undecided voters could all influence the final margin.
Oregon voters will decide the rematch on November 3, determining whether Kotek receives another term or Drazan replaces her.

WASHINGTON — In what is already being hailed as one of the most blistering rhetorical ambushes on Capitol Hill this session, Louisiana Senator John Kennedy completely dismantled Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez during a high-stakes joint committee hearing on Wednesday, using the progressive star's own contradictory public statements to trap her in an unyielding factual vice that left her uncharacteristically speechless and wiping away tears of sheer frustration.
The fiery confrontation unfolded inside the packed Dirksen Senate Office Building during an oversight session examining green energy infrastructure mandates, inflationary pressures, and discretionary federal subsidies.
The 11:20 AM Setup: The Calm Before the Cross-Examination
The tension began mounting when Representative Ocasio-Cortez delivered an impassioned, high-octane five-minute opening statement. Pounding the podium, the New York lawmaker accused conservative senators of "willful economic sabotage" and "corporate shilling," arguing that working-class families were suffering directly because traditional energy sectors had not been swiftly phased out by regulatory decree.
Across the horseshoe-shaped dais, Senator Kennedy leaned back, impassive behind his thick tortoiseshell glasses. He took no immediate notes, made no interjections, and waited patiently as Ocasio-Cortez yielded back her remaining twenty seconds with a sharp, defiant glare across the room.
When the committee chairman recognized the senator from Louisiana, the entire acoustic tone of the chamber shifted.
Kennedy did not raise his voice. He did not pound his fist. Instead, he slipped a pair of thin wire-rimmed reading glasses over his face, adjusted his lapel microphone, and picked up a meticulously organized manila folder bound by a single yellow rubber band.
"Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez," Kennedy began, his slow, deliberate bayou drawl echoing with razor-sharp clarity through the sound system. "You just delivered a very dramatic sermon about the economic suffering of the American working class. It was moving. It really was. But I’d like to see if we can reconcile that sermon with your actual track record."
The Trap Springs: Three Quotes, Zero Escapes
Kennedy opened the manila folder and slid a typed, stamped transcript across the witness table toward the staff runner.
"I have here the official transcript of your address to the Economic Policy Forum in New York, dated eighteen months ago," Kennedy said, leveling his gaze directly at the New York congresswoman. "In that speech, you declared—and I quote directly—'The transition away from fossil fuels will necessarily require economic disruption, and consumers must prepare to absorb higher baseline costs as a necessary sacrifice for planetary survival.'"
Kennedy paused, letting the quote hang in the dead-silent hearing room.
"Then, six months later on a Sunday morning broadcast, you told the American people: 'Any claim that progressive environmental regulations increase consumer energy bills is bad-faith corporate propaganda.'
And just ten minutes ago, right here in this room, you looked into the cameras and blamed inflation entirely on traditional energy suppliers.
So, Congresswoman, help a simple man from Louisiana understand: Were you misleading the public when you admitted your policies would deliberately jack up energy prices, or were you misleading them when you pretended they wouldn’t?"
The Paralysis: 22 Seconds of Dead Air
The forensic trap snapped shut with surgical precision.
Ocasio-Cortez leaned toward her microphone to deliver an immediate rebuttal, but her words caught in her throat. She looked down at the paper copy of the transcript an aide had rushed to her desk, frantically scanning the lines, searching for an out-of-context defense that simply did not exist.
The chamber fell into total, suffocating silence:
The Stunned Silence: For over twenty agonizing seconds, the high-profile progressive powerhouse—famed for her rapid-fire social media counterpunches—sat completely frozen, her mouth slightly parted, unable to form a coherent response.
The Visible Emotion: The camera lens caught Ocasio-Cortez's jaw trembling as color rushed to her face. Overwhelmed by the sudden, cornered exposure on live C-SPAN and international pool feeds, her eyes welled up with visible tears of frustration. She quickly reached into her blazer pocket for a tissue, dabbing her eyes while attempting to maintain composure.
Staffer Panic: Two senior legislative aides scrambled behind her chair, whispering frantic talking points into her ear, but the damage was irreversible.
Kennedy didn’t interrupt. He simply held both hands open, waiting with clinical, icy politeness:
"Take your time, Congresswoman. The American people are paying for every gallon of gas, and they’d surely like to know which version of your economic theory they’re supposed to believe."
The Frantic Gavel: The Scramble to Cut the Block
Realizing their star witness was utterly defenseless, progressive committee allies attempted to interject with procedural objections.
"Point of order, Mr. Chairman!" interjected a neighboring House colleague, his voice cracking with urgency. "The witness is being badgered with cherry-picked archival quotes!"
Kennedy calmly turned to the gavel: "Mr. Chairman, reading an elected official’s exact, unedited public statements back into the congressional record is not badgering. It is basic oversight. Unless, of course, the Congresswoman is suggesting someone else wrote those words for her."
Unable to produce an answer before Kennedy's five-minute clock expired, Ocasio-Cortez could only offer a strained, three-word response through a cracked voice: "Context matters, Senator."
"It sure does, ma'am," Kennedy replied smoothly, closing his folder with a dull thud. "And the context here is that the math doesn't work, and you know it."
The Digital Firestorm: #AOCLeftSpeechless Shatters the Feeds
Within thirty minutes of the morning session adjourning, raw footage of the exchange exploded across the internet.
The contrast between Ocasio-Cortez’s emotional breakdown and Kennedy’s deadpan, soft-spoken cross-examination turned the clip into an instant digital juggernaut, amassing over 40 million views across X, TikTok, and YouTube in under four hours:
Conservative commentators dubbed the moment "the greatest rhetorical checkmate in modern Senate history," praising Kennedy for dismantling talking points without ever raising his voice.
Progressive defenders accused Kennedy of using unfair, ambush debate tactics to intimidate a younger lawmaker, arguing the quotes were spliced from broader academic lectures.
Media analysts universally noted that the optical damage was severe: stripping away soundbites to leave one of Washington’s most vocal communicators fighting back tears on national television.
As the committee room cleared and reporters swarmed the hallways, John Kennedy calmly slipped his folder under his arm, adjusted his glasses, and walked out into the rotunda—having once again proven that on Capitol Hill, there is no weapon more lethal than a politician's own unedited words.

WASHINGTON — In what conservative commentators are already hailing as one of the most blistering, high-octane orations delivered in the United States Capitol this year, Florida Senator Marco Rubio launched into an unsparing, full-throated indictment of former President Barack Obama, modern Democratic governance, and the entire institutional foreign and domestic policy establishment.
Taking the podium during an intense, high-stakes Senate debate over national security appropriations and executive branch regulatory overreach, the Florida Republican threw out his prepared opening remarks, gripping the edges of the dais with both hands to deliver an unfiltered, thirty-minute verbal broadside that sent shockwaves through the chamber and immediately ignited a viral digital inferno.
The Unscripted Turn: "Let’s Dispel the Fiction Once and for All"
The debate was originally framed around procedural amendments to foreign defense funding and trade enforcement. However, as progressive senators concluded an hour-long defense of multinational treaties and progressive domestic spending programs, Rubio rose, took a sharp breath, and leveled his gaze directly across the aisle.
"For nearly two decades, the American people have been subjected to an arrogant, failed experiment," Rubio began, his voice cutting through the whispering chamber with razor-sharp intensity.
"It started with the grand, soaring rhetoric of the Obama administration—a promise that if America simply apologized for its strength, managed its own economic decline, bowed to international bureaucrats, and surrendered its industrial core, the rest of the world would magically live in peace.
They looked working-class families in the eye and told them their factory jobs were gone forever, that they needed to learn to code, and that national borders were an outdated relic of the past. It was an intellectual fraud then, and it is a catastrophic disaster now."
The Systematic Takedown: Foreign Weakness and Economic Collapse
Rubio didn't simply attack broad talking points; he systematically broke down the Democratic Party's governing philosophy over the past fifteen years, targeting key pillars of their domestic and international agenda:
Foreign Policy "Appeasement": Rubio blasted what he called the "dangerous naive realism" inherited from the Obama foreign policy playbook, citing disastrous engagements with adversaries like China, Iran, and Venezuela. "You cannot appease dictators who view your diplomatic compromise as a confession of cowardice," Rubio thundered. "They spent years lecturing us that the international order would tame Beijing. All it did was hollow out Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida while funding our greatest adversary's military buildup."
The "Elitist" Cultural Divide: Turning to domestic policy, Rubio accused the Democratic establishment of trading the historic interests of working-class union laborers for corporate donors and academic elites. "The Democratic Party of today does not represent the mechanic in Tampa or the nurse in Detroit. It represents corporate boardrooms obsessed with virtue-signaling and high-rise activists who have never swung a hammer in their lives."
The Regulatory Chokehold: Pointing directly at the front row of the opposition benches, Rubio warned of the devastating impact of green mandates and inflation. "You treat the American taxpayer like an endless line of credit for social experiments, and then you have the audacity to act surprised when families can’t afford eggs, milk, and gas."
The Chamber Reaction: Deafening Silence Across the Aisle
The sheer velocity and passion of Rubio’s delivery froze the entire floor:
Stunned Democrats: Democratic leadership sat stone-faced, with several senior members furiously conferring with floor directors and aides, visibly seeking procedural avenues to limit debate or prepare an immediate counter-narrative.
Conservative Ovation: Across the Republican side of the aisle, senators leaned forward on their desks, erupting into sustained, desk-slapping approval each time Rubio hit a crescendo.
C-SPAN Inundated: The live congressional feed saw viewer numbers surge dramatically within minutes as word spread on digital wire services that Rubio was abandoning standard Senate decorum to deliver a foundational ideological critique.
"The time for timid polite consensus is over," Rubio concluded, leaning over his microphone with a clenched fist. "We are not going to apologize for American greatness. We are not going to let a failed ideology dismantle the greatest republic in human history. The American people are waking up to the con, and this party is ready to put an end to it."
Digital Outrage and Acclaim: Millions of Views in Real Time
Within thirty minutes of Rubio yielding the floor, video clips bearing the headline "WATCH RUBIO DESTROY OBAMA AND DEMOCRATS" exploded across digital platforms, amassing tens of millions of views across X, YouTube, and Facebook:
Conservative pundits celebrated the address as an iconic masterclass in political rhetoric, arguing that Rubio effectively united the working-class economic agenda with strong-on-defense conservative principles.
Progressive analysts criticized the speech as aggressive, partisan theatrics designed to inflame cultural divides and rewrite the history of post-2008 economic recovery programs.
Political commentators noted that the high-energy performance solidified Rubio's standing as one of the most potent, sharp-tongued communicators in modern American politics.
As the Senate adjourned for the evening, the echo of Rubio's unvarnished broadside lingered long after the chamber doors closed—marking one of the most explosive, defining floor debates of this legislative era.
