PART 2: THE RECKONING OF THE JUDGE

The sheer shock of the moment hung thick in the air, refusing to dissipate. The gasps from the gallery slowly faded into an uncomfortable, breathless tension as everyone in the courtroom processed the visual truth laid bare before them.

Judge Jenkins adjusted her glasses, her gaze shifting deliberately from my scarred torso back down to the official medical and forensic dossiers sitting on her desk. When she looked back up, her eyes were no longer just professional; they burned with a deep, uncompromising fury. For months, the defense had tried to portray me as a hysterical, unstable woman fabricated by my own imagination to ruin a respected family's reputation. Now, every single lie they had manufactured lay exposed in ruins.

"Mr. Vance," Judge Jenkins addressed Lucas, her voice cutting through the silent courtroom like a razor blade.

Lucas slowly snapped out of his trance, his mouth still slightly agape, trembling as he looked up at the bench from his seat in the orange jumpsuit. He tried to speak, but no words came out; his vocal cords seemed paralyzed by the sheer terror of realization.

"For months, this court listened to your legal team claim that your wife’s mental state was compromised, that her financial claims were erratic, and that your household was a sanctuary of elite virtue," Judge Jenkins continued, her tone rising in authority with every syllable. "Yet, what stands before this bench is the undeniable, physical map of a tyrant's brutality. You didn't just loot corporate accounts and commit white-collar fraud—you systematically tortured the human being who trusted you most."

Beside Lucas, his lead defense attorney frantically began shuffling papers, whispering a desperate string of objections, trying to salvage whatever legal foothold remained.

"Objection, Your Honor! This—this goes beyond the scope of the original financial indictments!" the defense lawyer stammered, standing up with sweat beading on his forehead. "The physical condition of the plaintiff cannot be retroactively attached to corporate sentencing without a separate civil trial!"

Before Judge Jenkins could even respond, I stepped forward slightly, my voice ringing clear and steady across the courtroom.

"It is all connected, Your Honor," I said, turning my gaze toward the defense table. "The financial manipulation, the isolation, the control, and the physical violence—they were all tools used by the Vance family to ensure I could never speak out, never audit their accounts, and never reclaim what they stole."
