PART 4: THE COLLAPSE OF THE ELITE

The chaos on the beach reached a fever pitch as the federal officers forced the sobbing members of the Vance family toward the armored transport vans idling near the estate entrance. The contrast between their former glory and their current humiliation was absolute poetry.
Lucas stumbled over a piece of driftwood, his bright orange jumpsuit dragging slightly in the wet sand as a tactical officer roughly jerked him back to his feet. He looked across the beach, his wild, desperate eyes finally locking onto mine. Standing against the backdrop of the turquoise sea, holding our child securely in my arms, I must have looked like an avenging angel of wrath.
"Please!" Lucas screamed out over the sound of the crashing waves, his voice cracking with sheer panic as he strained against the grip of the guards. "Please, talk to them! Tell them this is a misunderstanding! We have a family, think of the baby!"
I didn't flinch, nor did I move an inch. I slowly lowered my sunglasses down the bridge of my nose just enough to look him directly in the eyes—the same eyes that had watched me cry behind locked doors, the same man who had laughed when he told me nobody would ever believe my word against a Vance.

"The baby is safe, Lucas," I replied, my voice carrying clearly across the sand, calm and freezing cold. "Safe from you, safe from your mother, and safe from the toxic legacy you tried to build on stolen blood. You taught me how ruthless the world could be. I simply decided to master the lesson."
His mother shrieked in horror as she was shoved into the back of a van next to him, her designer luggage being tossed unceremoniously into the trunk like cheap garbage. One by one, the doors slammed shut with heavy, metallic thuds, cutting off their cries and sealing their fate. The multi-generational empire of the Vance family had officially crumbled into dust in less than an hour, wiped out not by external market forces, but by the very woman they thought they had successfully buried.
