The color drained instantly from Victoria’s face. The smug triumph in her eyes vanished, replaced by a sudden, creeping wave of absolute terror as she stared at the flashing red recording light on Clara's device.

"What... what is that?" Victoria stammered, her voice losing its fierce edge.

"That is a live feed streaming directly to the state prosecutor's office and the federal economic crimes unit," Clara said smoothly, her voice steady and echoing clearly across the patio. "Assault, battery, and a recorded confession to grand larceny. I'd say your real estate empire just hit a brick wall, Victoria."

Before Victoria could lunge forward to smash the device, the heavy front gates of the property swung open with a resounding clatter. A pair of unmarked state police SUVs and a local sheriff's cruiser rolled up onto the driveway, their red and blue emergency lights flashing silently against the bright suburban home.

Uniformed officers and federal investigators stepped out onto the lawn, marching directly toward the pool patio. The guests scattered in panic, clearing a wide path as the lead officer stepped forward with a pair of steel handcuffs gleaming in his hand.

"Victoria Vance?" the officer called out authoritatively, his gaze locking onto the woman in the red dress. "You're under arrest for assault, witness intimidation, and corporate fraud."
