PART 3: THE COLLAPSE OF THE ELITE AND THE FINAL RECKONING

The icy chill of the water still lingered against my skin, but deep inside my core, only a steady, unyielding fire remained. The mocking laughter of the man in the green suit abruptly faltered when he met my piercing, fearless gaze. He lifted his head, his smirk freezing as he instinctively stepped backward, realizing I had neither broken down nor begged for mercy like they had expected.

"What's wrong? Why aren't you crying?" Lucas's mother shrieked, her voice sharp and venomous as she clutched the empty metal bucket, which no longer held a single drop of water. "Someone of your kind only deserves to sit there and accept our charity! Wipe that brazen look off your face!"

Around the banquet table, the self-proclaimed elite began to murmur anxiously. Their initial smug satisfaction was slowly being replaced by a vague, creeping panic. No ordinary person could endure such utter humiliation and still maintain such an overwhelming, majestic presence. I slowly rested my hand over my growing baby bump, my eyes scanning the terrified faces freezing across the room.

Just as the atmosphere grew suffocatingly heavy, a sharp, crashing sound echoed from the main hallway of the estate.

Bang!

The massive, intricately carved wooden doors were blown wide open with immense force. It wasn't the familiar footsteps of servants or guards, but the heavy, rhythmic, and authoritative boots of federal tactical agents. Dozens of federal operatives in pitch-black tactical gear, carrying specialized equipment and displaying glowing badges on their chests, flooded the banquet hall, instantly securing every single exit.

"Freeze! Nobody move!"

The deep, cold, and decisive voice of the commander cut through every trace of noise in the room. Lucas's mother let out a terrified scream as the bucket slipped from her hands, clattering loudly against the floor. The man in the green suit—my ex-husband—instantly lost all his arrogance, his face draining of all color as his knees shook so violently he nearly collapsed onto the gold-trimmed armchair.

From behind the tactical formation, a woman stepped forward. It was Elena, my trusted confidant who had spent months helping me compile our comprehensive financial evidence. In Elena's hands was a tablet displaying real-time graphs of fiery red transactions and asset freeze orders being executed live.

I slowly stood up from my soaked chair. Though my dress clung to my skin and water dripped onto the floor, my posture was fiercely proud. I took firm, deliberate steps toward Lucas, who was now too terrified to even look me in the eye.

"Did you really think this cheap prank could hide years of embezzling tens of millions from my family's trust funds, Lucas?" I spoke, every word soft yet sharp enough to cut through his soul. "You thought casting my children and me out meant you could sit comfortably on a throne built on fraud, lies, and other people's sweat?"

"Valerie... you... you don't understand..." Lucas stammered, sweat pouring down his forehead like a waterfall, his voice cracking with utter desperation. "Everything... everything isn't what you think..."

"Isn't it?" Elena stepped forward coldly, holding the tablet high before the paralyzed guests. "Every single offshore account in the Cayman Islands, the fraudulent shell company loans, and the forged signatures of your grandfather—all of it has been handed over to the Federal Prosecutor's Office. The arrest warrants were signed fifteen minutes ago."

The elite guests surrounding the table panicked completely. Those who had been laughing and raising glasses just moments before scrambled desperately for the exits, only to find every pathway blocked by masked federal agents. Escape was impossible.

I stood straight, brushing back a strand of my wet hair, and flashed a powerful, chilling smile down at the man who had once treated me like trash.

"Tonight, your celebration of victory officially comes to an end," I looked straight into Lucas's eyes, where arrogance had completely mutated into absolute terror. "And now, it’s my turn to write your final chapter."
