PART 4: THE ARRIVAL OF JUSTICE

As if on cue, the heavy glass doors leading from the hotel penthouse to the rooftop terrace swung open with a resounding crash. A tactical unit of federal marshals, flanked by state investigators, stepped out onto the stone patio, their badges gleaming in the afternoon sun.

The guests began scrambling backward, clearing a wide path as the officers marched straight toward the altar. Arthur Sterling tried to step in front of his daughter, holding up his hands defensively. "There's been a mistake! This is a private event! You have no jurisdiction here without prior notice!"

"Arthur Sterling, you are under arrest for securities fraud, money laundering, and corporate embezzlement," the lead federal agent stated coldly, pulling out a pair of steel handcuffs. "And Victoria Sterling-Vance, you are being detained as a co-conspirator in asset concealment."

Victoria shrieked, looking down at her gorgeous white wedding gown as cold steel cuffs were locked around her delicate wrists, staining the luxurious lace. She thrashed against the agents, screaming obscenities that shattered the illusion of high-society elegance forever. Her mother wept uncontrollably in the background, surrounded by empty champagne flutes and ruined floral arrangements.

Clara watched quietly as the family that had tried to silence, discredit, and disown her was led away in disgrace across the very terrace where they planned to celebrate their ultimate triumph. The wedding was over, but the reckoning had only just begun.
