PART 5: THE DAWN OF RETRIBUTION

The sun finally began to sink below the Manhattan skyline, casting a warm amber glow over the abandoned rooftop terrace. The scattered white rose petals and overturned golden chairs were the only remnants of a wedding that made national headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Clara stood near the edge of the terrace, looking out over the sprawling city. The federal investigator who had led the raid walked over, handing her a secure manila folder containing the final receivership documents.
"It's done, Ms. Sterling," the agent said respectfully. "The corporate assets have been seized, and the victims of the embezzlement fund are finally going to see restitution. You legally hold controlling shares of the restructured firm now."

Clara took the folder, feeling a profound, long-awaited sense of peace wash over her. The physical pain from the fall on the stone floor had faded, replaced by the unbreakable strength of a survivor who had fought back against corruption and won.
She turned away from the skyline, walked toward the elevator, and stepped into the future she had earned on her own terms.
