Police reopened Clara’s crash investigation.
The original car had been destroyed, but photographs showed a cut in the brake line.
A mechanic’s report describing tool damage had been removed from the file.
The mechanic died years earlier, but his daughter kept a copy among family papers.
Financial records showed Victoria’s father paid a security contractor three days before the crash.
Julian had inherited the contractor’s sealed files.
Investigators found them in his warehouse.
One invoice read:
VEHICLE DELAY — NORTH ROUTE.
A recorded call between Victoria and Julian revealed more.
Julian said, “Dad never meant for the car to cross the barrier.”
Victoria answered, “Intent will not bring Clara back. Protect the family that remains.”
The recording did not prove Victoria ordered the sabotage.
It proved she knew and spent years hiding it.
Julian accepted a cooperation agreement.
He admitted their father ordered a mechanic to create a breakdown that would prevent Clara from reaching the board meeting. The cut was deeper than intended.
Clara entered North Bridge during heavy rain.
