The Custody Hearing

Chapter 12 - The Custody Hearing
Vanessa requested temporary contact with the triplets.
She argued that complete separation would damage children who had known her as a maternal figure for three years.
The court reviewed the archive, pantry logs, future reports, financial conflicts, and the children’s interviews.
Emma asked not to see her.
Noah said he wanted a locked door between them.
Lily said nothing but shook her head.
The judge denied contact and issued a protective order.
Adrian retained parental custody under independent oversight.

His attorney warned it might appear as an admission of failure.
“It is an admission that private authority was not enough,” Adrian said.
