Marcus cooperated after discovering Evelyn’s plan to remove him.
His testimony reduced his sentence but did not erase the charge.
He admitted pressuring Olivia for weeks.
He admitted sharing her medical history.
He admitted striking her because Evelyn was watching.
Olivia’s attorney asked:
“Would you have struck Mrs. Shaw?”
“No.”
“Why not?”
“She had the power to end my career.”
“And you believed Olivia did not?”
Marcus remained silent.
The attorney continued.
“So your restraint depended on consequence, not principle?”
