Olivia did not remain at Bellgrave House to watch the trustees remove Evelyn.
She entered the first white sedan alone.
A driver asked where she wanted to go.
“My apartment.”
Marcus believed the apartment belonged to a museum foundation where Olivia worked.
It belonged to her personally.
She had kept one home outside the trust because Catherine taught her that even protected wealth could become another form of dependence.
Inside the car, Olivia recorded a statement for counsel.
She described the slap, documents, and coercion without embellishment.
Her voice remained controlled until she reached the sentence:
“My husband believed I deserved respect only after he learned what I owned.”
Then she stopped.
The driver waited without turning around.
