Chapter 16 - The Verdict
Evelyn was convicted on every major fraud, coercion, and obstruction count.
Keller was convicted and permanently lost his medical license.
Marcus was convicted of assault and coercion. His cooperation reduced the sentence.
Evelyn received twenty-four years.
Keller received ten.
Marcus received six.
At sentencing, Evelyn said she had rescued Vale Crown and earned the right to decide its future.
Olivia answered:
“You earned compensation and authority within rules. You did not earn ownership of other people’s consent.”
Marcus apologized without mentioning Evelyn, stress, or Olivia’s hidden wealth.
“I believed visible power mattered more than the person who trusted me.”
