The Trust Before the Birth

Chapter 15 - The Trust Before the Birth
The Bennett Maternal Health Fund held an emergency public hearing.
Claire could keep the controlling shares inside a private family trust.
Or she could activate Amelia’s independent maternal-and-worker structure before delivery.
The private option would make Claire and her child extremely powerful.
It would also preserve the same inheritance pressure that created the conspiracy.
Claire chose the independent trust.
The board included patients, nurses, clinic workers, midwives, engineers, disability advocates, and financial auditors.
Neither Claire nor Richard received permanent seats.
Claire retained personal security, healthcare, and compensation for the fraud.
Her unborn child received no automatic control over hospitals and clinics.
At sixteen, the child could apply for a youth observer role like anyone else.
Some Bennett relatives accused Claire of giving away the family legacy.
She answered:
“My mother built care systems, not a throne for an unborn baby.”
The transfer occurred weeks before delivery.
