Crowe’s Letter

Chapter 18 - Crowe’s Letter
Five years into his sentence, Crowe wrote Ethan through a court-approved program.
The first letter blamed Victor Shaw and the pressure of medical innovation.
The program did not forward it.
The second named specific choices.
Crowe admitted falsifying Noah’s death record.
He admitted suppressing Lily’s recovery to preserve proxy authority.
He admitted declaring Mara unstable because her notes threatened the merger.
He wrote:
I believed the children’s trust would do more good under professionals than under a frightened family. Then I began calling every person who resisted me frightened.
Ethan shared the letter with Mara only after asking.
Noah and Lily were not required to read it.
Crowe offered additional account codes.
The information recovered patient funds and corrected records.
His cooperation mattered.
It did not create access to the family.
When reporters asked Ethan whether he forgave Crowe, he declined.
