Victor Sloan’s Bargain

Chapter 11 - Victor Sloan’s Bargain

Victor Sloan disappeared the day Noah was found.

Ortiz traced him to a small airport where he planned to leave under another name.

Inside his luggage were account codes, forged marriage records, and a signed statement blaming Victoria for everything.

Victor offered cooperation in exchange for immunity.

Ortiz refused complete protection.

He provided evidence anyway.

Victoria ordered the yacht sabotage, but Victor arranged the private ambulance and guardianship.

The plan was not to kill Noah.

They needed his signatures available if the trust challenged the death declaration.

Keeping him alive under medical control gave them flexibility.

Victor also admitted altering Elena and Noah’s marriage registration.

The original courthouse file had been removed.

A clerk received payment to mark the record incomplete.

The clerk later preserved a copy and became a witness.

Victor’s bargain reduced his sentence but did not erase it.

He pleaded guilty to fraud, unlawful confinement, evidence tampering, and conspiracy.

Before sentencing, he called the scheme an effort to preserve jobs.

Arthur Price submitted a statement:

“You preserved the people who owned the dining room by taking food from those who worked beneath it.”

Victor’s assets entered the restitution fund.

The law license he used to turn families into paperwork was permanently revoked.
