Noah Returns to the Coast

Chapter 19 - Noah Returns to the Coast

Ten years after his rescue, Noah visited the coastal clinic site.

The building had been closed and converted into an independent patient-rights center.

The room where he was confined became a legal consultation office.

No locked medical wing remained.

Elena walked beside him.

Noah stopped near the window overlooking the sea.

“I used to believe the yacht fire ended my life.”

“It changed it.”

“I lost months with you and Lucia.”

“Yes.”

Elena did not soften the truth into gratitude.

They had built a good life.

That did not make the theft necessary.

The center trained doctors to question guardianships controlled by people who benefited financially.

Patients received outside communication channels.

Family representatives could not block legal mail.

Noah spoke to new staff.

He told them that confusion after injury did not eliminate a person’s rights.

Protection required support, not disappearance.

When he finished, he and Elena walked to the beach.

No photographers followed.

The ocean no longer belonged to the worst night of his life.
