Ethan testified under a limited cooperation agreement.
He admitted the affair, the pressure, and the slap.
He described Helena’s promises and Celeste’s manipulation.
Amelia’s attorney asked:
“When your wife denied stealing the ring, what evidence did you examine before striking her?”
“None.”
“When she said the ring belonged to her family, why did you laugh?”
“I believed she was trying to save face.”
“Why?”
“Because Helena was powerful.”
“And Amelia appeared not to be?”
Ethan lowered his eyes.
“Yes.”
