Helena demanded an emergency board meeting.
Amelia agreed.
The meeting began at 11:18 p.m. inside Royce Hall’s library.
Helena took the chair.
Naomi placed the trust charter beside her.
“Under the emergency clause, the beneficiary or independent trustee chairs any meeting involving suspected self-dealing.”
Helena remained seated.
Amelia did not take the chair herself.
She nominated Grace Lin, Royce Meridian’s operations director.
Grace had no family connection and no financial interest in the Northstar sale.
The board approved her as interim chair.
Helena called the decision theatrical.
Amelia answered:
“Theater is wearing a borrowed ring for twenty years until everyone forgets it was borrowed.”
The board reviewed the planted-ring footage, affair messages, sale appendix, and marital release.
At 11:54 p.m., the Northstar transaction was suspended.
At 11:57, Helena’s executive authority was frozen.
At midnight, the deadline expired.
The company did not collapse.
Servers remained online.
Ports continued operating.
Employees received salaries.
