General Shaw’s Command

Chapter 11 - General Shaw’s Command

General Victor Shaw denied knowing Daniel remained alive.

His office had approved the false death certificate, the Meridian transfer, and the airfield order.

He blamed staff.

Email records showed otherwise.

After Daniel copied the supply manifests, Grant Cole warned Shaw:

MITCHELL CONNECTED THE GHOST ACCOUNTS.

Shaw replied:

MOVE HIM INTO RECOVERY STATUS BEFORE COMMAND SEES THE RAW FILES.

Recovery status was not a recognized military category.

It was Blackridge language for removing witnesses from ordinary systems.

Shaw argued that classified operations sometimes required alternate identities.

The prosecution asked why those identities generated private revenue.

He had no acceptable answer.

Investigators also found that Shaw owned shares in a Blackridge subcontractor through a family trust.

He had profited from every ghost casualty account approved by his division.

The Army stripped him of command.

He later faced federal charges for fraud, obstruction, conspiracy, and unlawful transfer of service members.

His rank did not disappear from the historical record.
