The Motorcycle Club Derek Misunderstood

Chapter 07 - The Motorcycle Club Derek Misunderstood
Derek described the Grey Wolves publicly as a criminal gang that abducted his stepdaughter.
The claim collapsed quickly.
The club was a registered mutual-aid organization formed by veterans, mechanics, nurses, and truck drivers. Its members operated storm rescues, missing-person searches, and a legal fund for injured riders.
Some members had old convictions.
None were hidden.
Mason himself had spent six months in jail at twenty-two after a bar fight. He used the shame of that history to teach younger members that intimidation created consequences, not respect.
When reporters gathered outside the diner, Mason made one statement.
“Lucy asked for safety. We called law enforcement and preserved evidence. We did not remove her, question her repeatedly, or chase the man who fled.”
His restraint frustrated journalists hoping for a biker revenge story.
It also protected the case.
The Grey Wolves did not storm White Quarry.
They supplied vehicle records, fuel receipts, and volunteer search maps showing Derek’s movements.
Truck drivers recognized his SUV near the clinic.
