Dr. Keene’s Private Charts

Chapter 09 - Dr. Keene’s Private Charts
Dr. Keene maintained two sets of medical records.
The official chart described Claire as anxious, paranoid, and prone to medication misuse.
The private chart listed instructions from Daniel.
INCREASE DOSE BEFORE LEGAL MEETING.
DOCUMENT CONFUSION AFTER CALLS WITH ATTORNEY.
AVOID OUTSIDE NEUROLOGIST.
Keene also created a file for Sophie.
The child had never been his patient.
The file contained prepared language describing emotional instability, false memories, and excessive attachment to Claire.
Daniel planned to discredit the witness before Sophie spoke.
Claire read the document once.
Then she left the room and became sick.
The conspiracy had moved from her body toward her daughter.
Keene accepted a cooperation agreement after prosecutors found Vale Crown payments hidden inside his clinic accounts.
He admitted Daniel supplied the second sedative used in Claire’s tea.
Helena approved the guardianship strategy.
Attorney Malcolm Dorsey drafted the petition.
Keene was supposed to arrive after Claire signed the transfer documents and certify that she acted during a “brief lucid interval.”
If she refused, he would declare her incapable.
“You built two medical conclusions before examining her,” Lena said.
Keene looked down.
“I was told the family needed flexibility.”
Flexibility.
The word sounded harmless.
It meant truth would be selected after the outcome.
Keene surrendered his license.
His testimony connected the tea, the accident, the guardianship petition, and the prepared file on Sophie.
