Evelyn requested a private meeting with Margaret.
Margaret agreed only with Elena, Ortiz, and an advocate present.
The sisters faced each other across a hospital conference table.
Evelyn cried before speaking.
“I thought you were dead.”
Margaret placed returned letters between them.
“You stopped asking.”
“Richard showed me a certificate.”
“You accepted the answer that let you keep the company.”
Evelyn admitted that years later she discovered payments to North Ridge.
Richard told her Margaret was alive but dangerous.
He warned that contact would reopen criminal cases and destroy Mason’s inheritance.
Evelyn chose silence.
Then she helped pressure Elena in the penthouse.
“I told myself we were saving the family,” Evelyn said.
Margaret answered, “You were saving your place inside it.”
Evelyn offered to testify against Richard and Mason.
Ortiz made no promise about immunity.
Evelyn agreed anyway.
She provided access codes to a hidden Vale server.
The server contained guardianship payments, property transfers, and recordings from the penthouse.
Mason had installed cameras to collect evidence against Elena.
Instead, the footage showed Richard and Evelyn rehearsing what they would say after she signed.
It also showed Mason asking whether the cane threat would “look convincing enough.”
