Albright employees gathered in the grand hall for an emergency meeting.
Engineers, cleaners, security officers, landscapers, accountants, and retired construction crews filled the room beneath the chandelier camera.
Evelyn refused a private board meeting.
“The money came from them. They hear the truth with us.”
Clara attended by video from a recovery clinic.
She explained how Victor diverted pension contributions into luxury developments and used the family trust to hide ownership.
Julian presented the company’s financial condition.
Albright Development could survive only through restructuring and the return of stolen assets.
The Hart trust would activate when Evelyn’s baby was born.
Evelyn had two legal options.
She could keep the shares in a private family trust.
Or she could activate Samuel’s original community provision, transferring half the voting power to employees.
Victor had hidden the second option.
Julian told Evelyn the decision belonged to her.
She looked at the workers.
Then at Clara on the screen.
“Why did Samuel make it my choice?”
Clara answered.
“Because he hoped one heir would understand ownership is not the same as creation.”
Evelyn chose the community provision.
The employees did not applaud immediately.
They understood the responsibility.
A retired carpenter finally stood.
“We accept the work, not the gift.”
