Blackthorn House belonged to the Marlowe Family Trust, not Adrian.
Its security system stored encrypted backup data for insurance purposes.
Adrian had deleted the visible library footage.
He did not know the antique smoke detector near Elias Marlowe’s desk contained a separate motion-activated camera.
The trust’s security company recovered the recording.
Mara entered the library carrying the merger appendix.
Adrian followed.
Their argument lasted six minutes.
He blocked the door.
She refused to sign.
He took her wrist.
She pulled away.
He shoved her sideways.
Mara struck the corner of the desk and collapsed.
Adrian stood motionless for twelve seconds.
Then he called Vale before calling an ambulance.
Vale arrived in his own car and injected Mara with a sedative while she was still inside the library.
Only afterward did Adrian call emergency services.
The ambulance report’s “unknown medication administered before arrival” now had an explanation.
