The Bracelet Retires

Chapter 19 - The Bracelet Retires
The silver founder’s bracelet remained functional for years.
It could still unlock the independent archive.
Grace decided that no vital record should depend on one object or one bloodline.
The foundation replaced the system with three-key public oversight.

One to a worker.
One to an independent records custodian.
Grace placed the bracelet inside the hospital museum.
The display did not call it magical.

Clara visited the exhibit.
“Can I wear it someday?”
“You can hold it.”
“Does it belong to me?”
“It belongs to the history. Your life belongs to you.”
Clara accepted that answer and asked to visit the cafeteria.
