Vanessa appeared outside Reed House with attorneys.
She described herself as a devoted stepmother targeted by a disgruntled employee and an unstable child.
The phrase “unstable child” ended whatever public sympathy remained.
She said Oliver’s use of “Mom” proved Amelia had manipulated him.
Amelia released no personal statement.
Miriam Sloan released documents.
The forged therapy report.
The Hartwell ownership structure.
The blue envelope security footage.
The intercepted letters.
Jonathan spoke once.
“My son’s choice of a word is not the crime under investigation. The adults who created false records around him are.”
Vanessa accused Jonathan of abandoning his wife to protect the Reed brand.
He answered.
“I am stepping down from every trust and company role pending review.”
The decision surprised the board.
