Camille Laurent had built her career by understanding cameras.
She advised corporations on crisis image, investor psychology, and public scandal. She knew how a room should look when someone confessed.
The sofa had been positioned to keep her in the background.
Elena was placed beneath the chandelier where overhead light made exhaustion look unstable.
Adrian stood above her.
The security men remained visible but distant.
Three hidden cameras recorded different angles.
The final edited video would show Elena apologizing for “attacking” Camille, accepting discipline under a private marital agreement, and signing away control.
The unedited pendant audio told another story.
Camille rehearsed lines with Adrian before Elena entered.
“Make her say she understands the consequences.”
“If she cries?”
“Let her. Investors read tears as guilt when the powerful person stays calm.”
“What about the marks on her arms?”
“Keep them outside the close frame.”
Victor listened without expression.
Elena could not.
Every sentence transformed humiliation into production design.
Camille saw her reaction.
“It was business.”
Elena touched the necklace.
“No. Business has records, negotiation, and consent. This was theater built around fear.”
Marcus collected the ballroom cameras under Naomi’s authority.
Camille attempted to delete the cloud archive from her phone.
