The Children’s Trust

Chapter 16 - The Children’s Trust

The court restructured Amara’s shares.

She would not personally control the medical network at eighteen.

Instead, the voting rights entered a permanent children’s trust supervised by independent trustees and youth representatives.

Amara received financial security for education, housing, and healthcare.

No adult could use her identity to control the network.

At twelve, she would be allowed to attend meetings.

At sixteen, she could vote on limited youth-policy matters.

At eighteen, she could choose whether to serve or remain private.

Leah supported the plan.

Julian did too.

Eleanor objected from custody, arguing the family had built the network.

A former nurse answered during the hearing.

“Families donated money. Workers built care.”

The new trust funded recovery of altered patient records and independent advocates for children in private facilities.

The bunny’s hidden archive helped restore hundreds of names.

Amara did not become the face of the program.
